Is there a better way to get photo detail in light on a Samsung d900i cell phone?
I recently bought a Samsung d900i cell phone and my friends and I noticed that the pictures are coming out darker and not bringing out some details. Now this was in comparison to a Nokia 5300 with a 1.3 megapixel camera. The Samsung pictures seem a bit darker and not as much detailed. Keep in mind the Samsung is a 3.0 megapixel camera. I am just wondering if there is a way to make my photos a bit brighter, but without pictures drastically changing.

How much do data and voice cell phone plans cost in Japan, where cellular service is ubiquitous?
So I hear that just about everybody in Japan has a kick-ass cell phone with awesome data service. Since I can’t read Japanese, I was just wondering what a standard cell phone plan with unlimited data and a reasonable of amount minutes costs over there?
Mostly I am asking because I want to see if us USA consumers are being hoodwinked by the telecom companies, or if they charge a reasonable fee. Since they are obviously a cartel (how about them all raising SMS fees in unison) the only real price comparison can be done by looking at foreign companies.
Depends on how much talk time you want. I had a plan with KDDI that allowed me a sliding fee plan for data. I think that it capped out at $40 though. As for voice, it cost me like 30-40$ a month. I think that most of the time I used email instead of talking to people though. All in all it cost me about 40-50$ a month but the most it cost me was about 80 when went data crazy. You can always get a smaller voice plan. I think that cell phones in japan are a million times better than those in the west…
The phones certainly are!
Are you a victim of cell phone "Premium SMS" text message FRAUD ?
Me and my husband did…since last year when I got my new Verizon phone, I started receiving these text messages that I thought were just advertisements for some match-making thing…the texts said something about "soulmate love" and $9.99, but I always deleted those as soon as I received them and never, ever replied or texted back anything. I never thought anything else about it until recently when my husband (who pays the bill online) was comparison shopping the plans so we can upgrade… and he found that we have been charged for over a year for these texts I’d been receiving. I never received any services…no horoscopes, no whatever they are…but we were charged all this time, and it was $20.00 per month and once it was $40 in addition to our normal cell phone bill. He never though much about our bill being $20 more…he thought I’d been texting my Mom a lot (who lives in another state) and he just paid the bills and was done with it. Last December, it was $40 more and he did mention to me about it being a lot higher but I told him I didn’t understand and that I had not been texting her much at all.
So, by accident he found out that we’ve paid about $400 more than we ever should…for services we never signed up for or agreed to !! We complained to Verizon and they eventually credited our account for $60 (they could only go back 3 months, they said) and we filed a FRAUD complaint with them. They also gave us the number to contact the company charging these fees, which is MOBILE MESSENGER, who also used names like soulmatelove.com and MMTXT that appears on your bill. They’re all the same company and my husband researched the internet and found that the man that is behind this whole scam, and who is cheating tons of people around the WORLD out of money and wasting their time, as well…because they have to fight with their service carrier to get their money back, or some of it…he is living in Australia and there have been lawsuits against him in the past or maybe currently, I hope. He is a millionaire now because of his LOW-LIFE way of doing business, because he’s too sorry to get a REAL JOB like most other people ! There are many class-action lawsuits going on because of these fraudulent text charges and we should all be aware and watch your cell phone bills carefully. If you find that you’re having this same problem, DO something about it and complaint, file a fraud report, etc.
I found this information on the man who supposedly owns this company–do with it what you may :

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT VERIZON WIRELESS AND OTHER CARRIERS ARE ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN ??? Knowing that there are all of these lawsuits going on and unauthorized charges…and yet they let these THIEVES continue to use THEM to do their billing !! They must make a profit on the transactions, so they are just as guilty UNTIL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS.
Have you had similar experiences and if so, please share them here on Yahoo Answers…maybe one day we can do something to stop this junk from happening anymore.
Thanks for any input you have !
You can go online to your account to block any messages that come from email or the internet. I was getting a lot of spam messages, none of the high priced ones you did, but enough of them that it was sending me over my allotment. The Verizon rep told me how to go online and block texting. It does not block texts sent from other cells, so you can still text with your mom or whoever you want, although you can block certain phone numbers from sending you texts. Since I got online and did the block, I have received no more spam texts. Leave a note in your details if you need to know how to do it.
What do you think is a respectable age to get a cell phone?
I am 12 (13 in less than 3 months) and my parents who always say maybe next year when I bring up this question told me yesterday I will get one when I am 16! But see here’s what’s crazy about it. At this age a lot of kids have one. I am a responsible girl who gets great grades. My brother was 15 when he got his first cell phone and he broke it within a year after he got it. My brother is definitely not as responsible as me because his cell phone got broke in his basbeall bag by his bat! I don’t really want or need a cell phone but I feel kind of left out. I want your true opinion! For me I don’t think I might ever get a cellphone but it’s not like a cell phone is my first choice (a puppy is but my parents say no to that 2). And just so you know my brother gets a lot more attention then I do. He got a laptop broke it. An expensive phone broke it. Got a more expensive phone!
By the way my parents paid and are paying for all of these items.
He paid for 2 ipods broke the first and got a new one. (still has)
I had 2 cameras (more expensive than teh ipod) the first one had something iternally wrong with it (i didn’t break it) and the second I have. Both I paid for (over 100 dollars).
I got an ipod (I paid for).
And a desktop computer (well actually it isn’t mine and I didn’t pay for it was meant as a gift for me but even after my brother promised to let me use his cell phone he uses my computer more than me! and the only reason my parents bought it is because my dad needed an email for my brother’s baseball career and my brothers school work). I have you know I have went to over a thousand baseball games in my lifetime and never ever a thanks! I am so irritated with my family because they never buy me anything for Christmas this year I got two shirts! My brother got lots of cash. Is it me or am I being ignored! I know I went on and on about this but just a comparison of our electronics you can tell who has had the most money spent on (my dad has spent more than 200 thousand dollars actually way more than that to my ungrateful brother for baseball teams and traveling with him).
ok, you need a big hug first of all…. (((())))
Second, first borns are usually treated this way, especially if they have talent.. in this case, basebell… Psychology degree really does pay off! LOL
As for your question, professionally—I have seen parents by cell phones for kids once they enter middle school, 10-11 years old… Obviously, they get phones under special rules and circumstances… like extra chores, better grades, kissing mom and dad butt basically…
Personally, if this summary is true, then you are being very ignored. but you sound like an awesome girl… and you dont sound 12 going on 13… and for that i give you kudos! dont loose you personality!
Try this deal with them…
Im gonna gander and say you family has a family plan under a "Carrier". Adding you will cost money to buy a new phone.. I dont know if you have some kinda allowance or baby sitting job… So, try this.. if adding a line to a family plan, try naitonal retailer’s first. They ahve cheaper deals.. they are Best buy, Wal-mart, Radioshack, Sam’sClub, Circuit city, Craiglist, Wirefly, Target, etc.. basically any store that is not a Carrier store is a national Retailer. I know that Wirefly.com has a tons of deals!!! First, look at the phone prices for thier "Add Phones to Your Contract" radio button on left hand side…
if the phones are to expensive, then try a different store… Its back to school time now and national retailers are gear up for deals, especially for college students! Who cares about your age, Carriers dont need to know that… LOL You may wanna go this route.
Now, lets say you get a very high tech phone. Mom/Dad pay for the phone to "add a line"… This is the 2yr contract price of the phone. they pay that. Now you are part of thier family account. Tell them YOU will take it out of your allowance or baby sitting money… For a high tech phone, you might get these charges…
9.99 – secondary line charge
15.00 – unlimited internet
5.00 – Text 200– If they do not have Fam msg unl
that 30 plus tax for your line… OR
9.99 – secondary line charge
10.00 – unlimited internet ($10 now becuase they have fam msg unl)
0.00 – family text unlmited— all lines unlimited text
that 20 plus tax for your line
so, 20-30 per month.. can you afford that? Do extra chores? i dont know your family dynamics, but i understand a little… they gotta give in sometime soon.. lordy, you a teen now!

you obviously were given a number that had already been signed up with this fraudulent crap. if you havent already, try sending the word STOP in capital letters or stop, unsubscribe etc. sorry to hear about your loss. It’s happening in Canada too, much the same, but there are really crazy loopholes in our systems for some reason. It’s really a shame. cell phone providers need to come up with policies to help protect their customers
